Tesla released its 2025 Impact Report the first week of July—216 pages—with vehicle, energy, and manufacturing metrics toward “amazing abundance” (tesla.com/impact, Not a Tesla App).

Fleet climate impact

Tesla customers avoided releasing nearly 37 million metric tons of CO₂e in 2025—equivalent to about 90 billion miles in an ICE vehicle. Each car avoids roughly 32 tons of emissions over 17 years of driving, per the report highlighted by Sawyer Merritt.

Factory efficiency

At Giga Berlin, water use fell to 0.3 million m³ in 2025 (from 0.45 in 2024) with a plant recycling up to 100% of process water. Tesla also highlights battery recycling—14,000 tons cited in specialist press headlines.

Software: FSD beats human efficiency

Across 65 million sampled miles, FSD (Supervised) uses ~5% less energy than manual driving, peaking between 25–35 mph (Not a Tesla App, EVtopcars).

Cybercab and the next decade

The report details the Cybercab: 6.1 mi/kWh, 48V architecture, 4680 cells, Unboxed manufacturing, and a projection of nearly double per-mile emissions savings versus Model 3/Y in robotaxi operation.
