Tesla Launches Tesla Home and Opticaster in App 4.58.6: AI-Powered Home Energy

Tesla is expanding its energy ecosystem with Tesla Home, a home energy management system (HEMS) reaching users in Tesla app 4.58.6, released July 7, 2026, according to Not a Tesla App.

Opticaster: the AI brain

The Opticaster engine analyzes consumption, solar generation, electricity rates, and weather forecasts to automatically decide where to source energy and how to use it.

Mobile app changes

• Home Controls: redesigned menu with Self-Powered and Savings modes, backup reserve, and off-grid.
• Smart breakers: control appliances and circuits during an outage.
• Wall Connector: smart charging based on your electricity rate.
