Tesla is preparing to expand its first-party rental program to Maryland, Kansas, Washington, and Pennsylvania, per job postings and tracking by Sawyer Merritt covered by EVXL and Drive Tesla Canada.
What the listings confirm
Public “Rental Readiness Specialist” roles in Owings Mills (Maryland) and Lenexa (Kansas) cover fleet management, vehicle prep, invoicing, and customer handoff. Washington and Pennsylvania are on the expansion map, though not every state has verified listings yet (EVXL).
What rentals include
- Model 3/Y: from $60/day; Cybertruck: $75/day (TeslaMagz).
- FSD (Supervised), Supercharging, and mileage bundled in a flat rate.
- 3–7 day rentals, must stay within the state.
- $250 credit if you buy a Tesla within seven days of returning the car.
From California pilot to national infrastructure
The program started at service centers and opened to the public in California last fall; reached Michigan in December. Maryland and Kansas are inland markets—a sign Tesla treats rentals as a sales channel and extended test drive, not just coastal novelty (Not a Tesla App).
Teslarios is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc. No official opening date in the new states yet.
