On July 10, 2026, Tesla Korea confirmed the rollout of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14 Lite in South Korea—the first international market for this Hardware 3 (HW3) build, per Seoul Economic Daily and the @tesla_korea announcement on X.

What it includes and who qualifies

FSD (Supervised) v14 Lite is the optimized v14 branch for AI3 computers. Tesla Korea says the update ships sequentially by vehicle and only to U.S.-built Model 3 and Model Y vehicles with active FSD (Supervised) (purchase or subscription). Recent Model Y imports from Gigafactory Shanghai—a large share of Korea’s fleet—are not eligible, according to EVXL and Seoul Economic Daily.

Tesla stresses in the release that the system is not fully autonomous and that drivers must stay attentive and ready to take over.

South Korea before Canada

It is an unusual order: Canada usually gets software right after the U.S., but Canadian owners are still waiting on v14 Lite. South Korea becomes the first stop outside North America, though the country was already first on the main FSD v14 branch last year (Not a Tesla App). @Tesla_AI added on X that after further validation, v14 Lite will reach “all eligible AI3 owners in Korea.”

Technical context and timeline

  • In the U.S., v14 Lite began rolling out on June 29 with build 2026.20.5.1—about 11 days before the Korean announcement—per EVXL.
  • It is the first meaningful FSD build for HW3 in about 14 months; many AI3 cars had been stuck on branch 12.6 (Electric Vehicles).
  • Tesla Korea warns that FSD and Enhanced Autopilot purchase structures change starting August 10, 2026 (one-time VIN-tied purchase vs. subscription).

What markets come next?

Tesla has not published a schedule for Europe or other regions. HW3 owners in the EU may face longer waits: Tesla’s European regulatory path focused on AI4 vehicles. Meanwhile, the international community is watching Korean validation—dense traffic and right-hand drive aligned with the U.S.—as a barometer for global rollout.

Teslarios is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc. Availability, pricing, and eligibility may vary by VIN and region.
