Tesla’s 2025 Impact Report details Cybercab hardware: next-gen platform targeting at least 6.1 mi/kWh (~165 Wh/mi), 4680 cells, steer-by-wire, and 48V architecture (Tesla, Not a Tesla App).
Efficiency and emissions
Tesla projects the robotaxi will avoid nearly twice as many emissions per mile as Model 3/Y in optimized autonomous use—about a 10 percentage-point lead over human drivers in high-utilization scenarios (Not a Tesla App, Sawyer Merritt).
48V and batteries
The Cybercab uses a 48V low-voltage Li-ion battery and a 400V high-voltage pack. The 48V architecture cuts wiring versus traditional 12–16V. Recent documentation cites SAE Level 4 mode.
Unboxed manufacturing
Tesla assembles modules in parallel (Unboxed process) rather than on a sequential line, shrinking factory footprint. In parallel, Giga Berlin scales 4680 cells toward 18 GWh annually with recent investment (Electrek).
